What’s in my camera bag?
I love the Brevite backpack camera bag for travel. It’s lightweight and holds all my gear, including a laptop. The protective compartments allow me to rest easy knowing my camera will be safe. It even has a slot for you to connect it to your suitcase while you walk through the airport. For everyday use I love my Ona bag.
My camera of choice is the Sony A7iv. This is a mirrorless camera that I pair with a 50mm or 35mm lens depending on what I am shooting that day. I always pack an extra battery for my camera along with an extra SD card.
My shutter hugger comes with me to a lot of my family sessions. This cute little bunny was named Pickles by a client. It doesn’t always work as an attention getter, but when it does I am so glad to have it. I love that I can wash it after each session, since kids often like to touch it.
A neutral blanket can be a lifesaver with little kids who do not want to sit down in itchy grass. It also protects clothing from getting dirty.
Especially in warmer months, I bring my water bottle so I can stay hydrating during an outdoor family session. With all the moving around I do, I can get hot quick, and have majorly regretted it when I have forgotten my water in the past.
