The Heart Behind My Work
I'M LAUREN,
I'm an adoptive mom who believes family is built in many beautiful ways, and every story deserves to be remembered.
Becoming a mom changed the way I see time. I realized how quickly childhood changes and how easy it is to forget the little details you thought you'd always remember. That realization is what first drew me to photography and continues to shape the way I photograph every family.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me decorating our 1940s home, hiking with my family, or sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee while my kids play outside. It's the ordinary moments that have become the most meaningful to me—and they're the ones I find myself reaching for my camera to remember.
Every family has a story long before they're in front of my camera.
No two journeys to parenthood or family look the same. For some, this season comes easily. For others, it's been marked by waiting, loss, unexpected turns, or a path they never imagined. However your story has unfolded, I believe it deserves to be honored with the same care and intention.
When you invite me into this chapter of your life, I know these photographs represent so much more than what they show. They tell the story of the journey that brought you here, the love that surrounds your family, and a season you'll never experience quite the same way again.
That's why I take the time to get to know you beyond the photographs. Every family has a different story, and I believe your experience should reflect that. My hope is that you leave feeling seen, cared for, and with photographs that feel unmistakably like your family.
WHY IT MATTERS
One day, these photographs will mean more than they do today.
They'll remind you of tiny hands that no longer fit inside yours, the excitement of waiting for your baby, and the ordinary afternoons that quietly became the memories you treasure most.
My hope is that they don't spend their lives tucked away on a hard drive. I want them hanging on your walls, resting on your coffee table, and becoming part of the story your family sees every single day.

A Few Things About Me
I grew up in Texas before making Colorado Springs home, and you'll usually find me happiest somewhere in the mountains with my family.
I never pass fresh flowers without stopping to admire them. If you've followed me for a while, you've probably noticed I'm always photographing them.
I'm almost always reading something. A quiet afternoon with a good book and a cup of coffee is one of my favorite ways to recharge.
I'm drawn to spaces that feel warm, lived in, and full of light. Whether it's a cozy front porch or a sunlit living room, those are the places that inspire the way I photograph families.
