In-home family and newborn sessions are some of my favorites. They’re relaxed, meaningful, and completely unique to your family. Kids can move around freely, grab their favorite toys, and just be themselves — which always leads to the most genuine smiles and sweet moments on camera.
Especially here in Colorado Springs, where weather can change quickly, staying indoors makes for a cozy and comfortable experience. You don’t need to have a picture-perfect home for beautiful photos — often, the best images come from simple spots with great natural light. That might be your living room, a bright corner by a window, or even your kitchen where your family spends time together every day.
Before your session, I’ll help you choose which areas of your home photograph best. Most of my clients send me a few photos of their space so I can plan ahead for lighting and layout. From there, we’ll create a flow that feels natural — whether you’re snuggling your baby on the couch or making pancakes with your toddler while your newborn rests nearby.
Think about what feels most “you” for your in-home session — maybe that’s playing a board game, baking cookies, or simply sipping coffee while your toddler builds with blocks nearby. The goal is to capture your family as you are right now — the little moments that make this season so special.
