Newborn sessions don’t have to be within a month of your child being born. Waiting a couple of months is perfectly fine and we still get those fun detail shots of their little features. Doing what works best for you and your family is always what I suggest.

Outdoor newborn sessions are great when the weather is nice you want a different feel than in home sessions. Maybe this is your third child and you want your older kids to be able to run around so you opt for an outdoor newborn session. Or maybe this is your first but you just moved and your nursery isn’t set up. This is the perfect time for an outdoor newborn session. You can always do an in-home session later in the year for a milestone session after everything is set up.
