I am always honored when I can photograph another family that is currently going through the adoption process. As an adoptive mom, I completely understand all the emotions that come with adoption. I offer families a discounted rate that are needing photos for their adoption portfolio. These sessions often have a list of specific photos that need to be included and I am happy to make sure families have everything they need.
I also understand what it is like to be a new family and the delicate care that may be needed to get kids to warm up to the camera after arrival. Working with families formed by adoption/foster care is always so special for me. I remember our first family photos taken after the adoptions of my son and later my daughter. Each one was different because my children are unique in the ways they handled this transition in their lives. My daughter needed a lot more time before we attempted family photos and even then she tried to hide her beautiful smile. Knowing a lot of the ins and outs of this process, I am always going to do my best to make sure your child is comfortable and free to express themselves however they want.
